Entry #8 My Covid Vaccine..

Back on the topic of Covid, the biggest major event of 2020. As we all know and are aware of the biggest virus Covid-19, the vaccine has been out for quite some time now. Some have and are against it due to it not being studied for that long. Others want to be protected and safe no matter what it takes.
This past week I took it upon myself to finally get my first dose of the vaccine. The one I got was the Pfizer and I’m here to tell you all about my experience. When making an appointment it wasn’t that hard although since I am a minor i wasn’t not able to do it on my own. Once I made my appointment I was all set for that date. I was a bit nervous especially with recent news about the Johnson & Johnson vaccine being cancelled. When I arrived at my location they put me in a line to get all my information then it was go time. I then sat at a table and waited for someone to come give my vaccine. I will say it hurt a bit more than the flu shot this year but it wasn’t anything anyone can’t handle. It stung for a moment but I didn’t even feel the liquid going into my body which I sometimes do. Then I had to sit for 15 mins just in case I had some type of reaction towards it. My arm was a bit sore the next day but I’m glad to say I got no symptoms whatsoever! The only symptom I can probably say I had was fatigue but other than that and a sore arm I was completely fine. I’m due for my second dose on May 9th and I hope it doesn’t affect me either. I advise everyone to get the vaccine whether it is to protect yourself, family, friends, or even those around you. I will still be wearing my mask to be even more protected and to ensure I do not get covid for the second time because the first time around it was not fun! This is your sign to get your vaccine if you haven’t already! (:

  1. Hi Karina,

Thank you for sharing your Covid vaccine experience and thank you for doing your part to get Covid under control by getting the shot. I received both of my vaccine's and had different reactions, but it was so worth it! I feel so much better that my entire family has been vaccinated. We have had friends and family die due to Covid and I wish that they would have the chance to get the shot, maybe they would still be with us today.

This is such an important topic.

    Great blog selection!

  2. Happy to see others that have been vaccinated. I was lucky enough to recieve the Moderna vaccine through work. After the first dose, all I had was a sore arm. The second dose, however, was a bit more difficult. After a few hours I felt a little weak and woozy. I didn't feel sick, just not 100%. I had to call out of work the next day. It was nothing to be alarmed about, no cold symptoms or a fever. It was mostly brain fog. You may want to get ahead of your assignments by a few days just to be safe.

  3. Hey Karina,

It was great to read your experience on getting vaccinated. When I heard about the Johnson & Johnson vaccine causing problems, I'll admit, I was afraid to get vaccinated. I have put off getting the vaccine, but because many of my family members already got vaccinated, I think it right to say I should too. It has been years since I gotten a shot, but by reading your experience, I have nothing to worry about. Thanks for this blog!

  4. It's been a while since I've had any shots, but thats because every vaccination station around me is busy taking care of other people. At least my little sister was able to get immunized, so that gives me some relief about these crazy times we live in. But even that required multiple shots at ungodly hours of the night, several weeks apart.
