#0 Who Am I?

Hi! My name is Karina Valenzuela, and I am 17 years old. I am a part-time employee at Bed Bath and Beyond and a full-time student at GCC (Glendale Community College). This is my first year in college and I am planning to major in nursing. I have spent my life taking care of my family and great grandparents and have grew a passion for helping others. A goal of mine is to become a Pediatric Nurse in the future and I know I will accomplish this goal one day! A more personal goal of mine would be to more social and outgoing. I believe this makes you a better person and allows you to interact way more.

One of my favorite things to do besides being with my family is Photography. I have taken two classes in high school and have learned so much about taking photos and working with a camera. I mainly love taking photos of nature and the sunsets/sunrise. I am always taking photos of the sky and especially the moon. It is a passion I hope to do something later on after I gain more experience and learn more concepts. I believe my passion started after growing up and traveling to places to see the scenery such as Flagstaff, Bear Arizona, and California.

Another passion of mine is Music. Although I do not know how to play an instrument, I really enjoy feeling the music and making a personal connection. One of my favorite songs are From Time by Drake. Aside from that, one of my biggest pet peeves is when people lie and when they say they are going to do something but end up never completing it. I am very patient and understanding that when people lie or cannot commit, it really does bother me. I would say something that makes me unique and separates me from others is I am the only child. I only grew up with cousins and have never had someone that I viewed as a sibling. Another unique thing about me is I have dimples. I know many people have them, but I personally love them!

  1. Karina, I enjoyed reading your blog. The pictures were beautiful, your talent of taking photos shows in this blog.

Congratulations on your journey to becoming a Nurse, this is a great career path and just by reading that you take care of your great grandparents, that is one of the traits that is necessary to have as a nurse, a caring person willing to take care of others.

I myself took care of my grandparents, it is such rewarding feeling to take care of them after they took care of us when we were children.

I can relate to your trait of having dimples, both my husband and daughter have them, I love them and wish I had dimples.

Your blog was organized, detailed and I feel like I know you personally from the blog.

    Great job!
